I'm sure many of you have seen the movie 300 which may be one reason why you are interested to watch this match. 300 March to Glory for PSP is not necessarily the best ever game but if you're a fan of the movie, then it fits in quite well.
One thing I want to do things straight right from the beginning is that it is basically a hack and slash type of game. Now there is nothing wrong with that, the chance of success of games like Baldur's Gate, Golden Ax and too many more to mention. So as long as you keep that in mind, you should find this an enjoyable game.
Like the film, you find yourself at the Battle of Thermopylae try to hack your way through thousands of warriors advancing Persians Sherry I.. You play the part of Leonidas with a couple of Spartans controlled by computer at your side. You also have a sword, shield and spear at your disposal to keep the Persians at bay.
As you kill your enemy, you start building your "rage" meter which once full, you will make one of your special attacks, drunk with the blood! The screen turns red and you run around in a frenzy duplicity damage hits and also enjoy protection from damage for a short period of time. Note that some of the toughest enemies can not be slaughtered in that state.
Some players may find the combat a little too simplistic, but again, this is a hack and slash After all, you can not beat the feeling of resolve properly the head of someone there in the same vein as barbaric for 8-bit computers, for person old enough to remember ..
A couple of weak points, sometimes there will be a barrage of random arrows fly your way that is almost impossible to avoid, but I suppose it is realistic. In addition, if there is plenty of action on the screen at the same time, you feel a little slow.
Every so often, you'll have to fight against some bosses who are normally in the form of elephants fighting. This is a moment where you have make sure your gauge "anger" is up to you to storm in and do business. If you're meter is not in place, you will kill some enemies nearby to increase your anger first.
Fans of comics by Frank Miller will love the cinematic which include cartoon stills with built-in music of the film which somehow adds to the atmosphere of the game. The game also features action, although these voices are usually not the actors who looked the part.
From this 300 March to Glory Review, this may not be the best ever game but if you're a fan of the film or hack and slash games in general, then you probably want to check this out.
