PS3 – PS3 Vs Xbox my opinion Whatever It's Worth
I will try to break it down for normal people that I have two units and I had a terrible time finding time to independent advice. The short answer is that you can not really go wrong with either, but IMHO the PS3 console price drop makes it the best buy. My main reason for purchase was my PS3 Consoles Xbox 360 RROD dead for the fourth time and I decided to try the PS3.
OK here:
-Graphics: Both units are very close on quality here, in my case, the PS3 has better graphics, because my xbox had no HDMI, apples to apples I think would be difficult to choose a winner.
-Controller: It is really a matter of preference. Some say that the Xbox is bigger, it is more comfortable, a technical aspect, I would give the PS3 the win here because it has both vibration and motion, the Xbox has not the last.
-Online community: Xbox is the winner here with serious drawbacks noted. For one it costs $ 50 per year if you use voice chat, group chat, etc, etc. .. then the Xbox is the winner. If you're like me and hop online, you can play with your friends and prefer to use phone or e-mail to discuss with them, so enjoy online Xbox are almost nil.
-Netflix: it is a big step for me now Both systems have Netflix, navigation is similar, both are usable for the moment, however, you must insert a DVD Netflix to play on the PS3. No winner here, is a tie.
-BLU-RAY: it's a big, Xbox HD-DVD format is dead, leaving without a HD disc format, this means that if you want to read HD movies via a disk, you need a blu ray player separately, of course PS3 wins here, but the future of HD movies on disc format or streaming?
Fan noise: This review of the IMO gives the new PS3 to gain hands, my PS3 Console Slim is so quiet I can barely say it on my xbox like a jet engine, I have had bend films all the way up just to hear them on the Xbox, the new IMO is an asset Slim huge for the PS3 consoles.
Ventilation:
PS3 Advantages
1) Quiet
2) Proposal sensitive controllers
3) You can use a Bluetooth headset, keyboard, mouse, etc. …
4) Blu-ray
5) The lack of flashing lights front of the machine!
6) Built in wi-fi card
7) included HDMI
free online community and Game Play
9) Technical Support speaks English and seems to be located in America, they saw my name and my question.
10) The controllers come with built in rechargeable battery and can be charged with any USB port.
11) Easy to navigate menus
12) No PSU ridiculous, a rope, if you want take your PS3 with you somewhere, you only need the controller unit and the power cord.
Consoles PS3 Disadvantages:
1) No IR receiver, you can not use your universal remote to control the regular Consoles PS3, you need a Bluetooth which means an extra remote.
2) form, it sounds silly, but the rounded shape of the PS3 me really embarrassed because you can not stack your Wii, or even put your remote on top of the device. (Maybe you should not do it anyway LOL)
3) games minimum, or so I think the best thing would be less because of games for PS3, instead of building for the Xbox and worn on the PS3, this is however changing and the future will be less a problem.
Xbox 360 Benefits:
1) Online setup, many features that some may miss on the PS3, many will probably not
2) the interactive online game a head start on PS3
3) Easy to navigate menus
4) Netflix Indigenous Support
Xbox 360 cons:
1) noise
2) quality construction (I do not have enough time with my PS3 consoles to comment on the quality of construction, but it seems to be well done)
3) The online service is $ 50 per year.
4) Technical support, I called several times the support of several Xbox Live, it is impossible to get them to understand what the question is, or even my name, I even gave up both.
5) Batteries controller, I had several rounds Microsoft brand of batteries and their chargers I, they do not last as long as I hoped.
As I said earlier, you can not really go wrong with either, each side has a huge list of hate for the competition, the reality is that none of them are deal breakers. With the price cut PS3 consoles I think that the PlayStation is now the clear winner. it has blu ray, many games, spacious hard drive, HDMI. According I understand that the Xbox build quality has improved, for my part had many problems with my Xbox and my second was a best.
