Christmas Computer Cubicle
No, this is not a traditional Christmas in our office, but when you look at people with whom I work, we all a bit "geeky" and we like it that way. We could not imagine a white elephant gift exchange without wrapping paper or paper R2D2 bacon packaging concealing a mouse pad or touch coveted href = http://www.cirque.com/uploads/products/ergonomic_mouse.html> <a wireless ergonomic mouse </ a>. It's just who we are.
Not everyone has a metal "Christmas tree" sculpture decorated with lights and ornaments in their office or reindeer pretzel vending machine. Many offices are not even decorate with all the different holidays that people celebrate do- not want to offend. But in our office is a computer for Christmas.
Ornaments computer mouse and all
Instead of sleighs and colored balls on the Christmas tree, we hung a 'red and green http://www.cirque.com/uploads/products/computer_mouse.html a href = <> Computer mouse / a> from a tree in someone created from metal hangers age and cubic parts and then painted Bomb it gold. A bright spray-painted gold stapler acts as our Christmas stars and a <a href = http://www.cirque.com/uploads/products/touchpad_keyboard.html touch> pad keyboard </ a> sits just below the tree as a special gift from Santa.
Make a donation to another cause
We have not only a food and toy box, we have a box to recycle computer equipment to donate to a school in need. Someone even filled with new software and a new couple keyboard touch pad. This is a tech-y Christmas for you, especially when there is a price for the most decorated cabin. I do not think I will win this year. In fact, I never win, some people are really going over the edge with their decorations. The guy technical support we nicknamed Clark Griswold wins each year's most decorated cabin for reasons obvious shine his cube for a few months before Christmas and weeks with neon red and green.
Each year we make the traditional holiday vacation too. We all gather in the main room and watch South Park while sipping eggnog and fold the bacon wrapping paper snowballs Darth Vader or Circuit City gift certificates. We do not know not what kind of sneaky surprise our boss will be surprising us this year with our corporate gift thank-you. Last year, it was an XBOX for the break room and the year before we all got a computer remotely controlled mouse.
Of course, if we were a group of smelly we could demand a steak and lobster dinner at a nice restaurant for our celebration business, but we do not sell retail or Rolex stocks, we create programs and we come to work in t-shirts and jeans. We love our Futurama and our Robot Chicken marathon we're geeks and we love our Christmas computer.
