When my other great first mention of this game, I told him that I will ever play. Playing a game online with people from around the world just does not appeal to me at all. I had my Playstation 2 games and my ps2 role-playing game (I loved more than my boyfriend, lol), why would I play a game that the monthly fee? I guess I just could not understand what an online game would be similar.
One day I actually leave my Significant Other talk me into doing the free 30 days online FFXI. It did not take me long and I was hooked. I have now played for almost two years, and I must say that this is by far the best role-playing game ever created.
There is always something to do in this game. There are quests to do in each region. You get to build rank missions in your country of origin. Then there is the quest of jobs. There Linkshells to be join. Many friends do. You can join a party or you can solo. Do you fight? Oh, and do not forget the craft.
Doing quests will help enhance your reputation in each region. This is important to get some quests that you must or do you want to do.
Missions are for your region of origin. Doing this will build your rank. For example, your reward for rank of five years is an airship pass (YAY!) and a good amount of gil (money). Doing missions is certainly beneficial.
There are 20 different jobs you can learn, but you start with only six of them. They are: red mage, black mage, white mage, warrior, monk, thief. Once you reach level 30, you can start doing quests for other jobs. Other jobs are: Blue Mage, Dancer, Corsair, Bard, Dark Knight, Dragon, Summoner, Puppetmaster, Beastmaster, scholar, ninja, samurai, ranger, and paladin.
You can start a Linkshell or joining one. Belonging a Linkshell can be very beneficial because members help each other. In addition, you will make many new friends.
If you are a player who likes to fight, then you liked this game the combat is fun and you need to do much of it. It takes time to climb the levels, especially the higher. Thus, the more you fight the best. There are two ways to fight, you can find some (or create your own) or you can solo.
Crafting takes time, and Gil, but well worth it. You can sell what you make crafts and Gil. Here is a list of crafts that you can do: wood, cooking, alchemy, bone, leather, cloth, forge, forge gold, and fishing.
Final Fantasy XI is an RPG in progress. They're always adding and day. At $ 12.95 per month, it is well worth it. Do not forget your real life! play!

Looking for a video game or fishing game for the Xbox 360. The only requirement is that you can hunt / fish seperatley as his own person, and if my brother wanted to play, to be his own person. So basically I wuold want so that you can switch profiles. 1 more requirement is that when you kill / catch something, that records in a top 10, the comparison against other people who have played and killed or captured the same thing. Do you know of any hunting / fishing game that will give me both of these characteristics? Thanks in advance! The problem is that I'm playing sprots too and can never go north or go fishing with my dad anyway. I have some form of sport most days, I have no time to go fishing or hunting in particular. Not to say, but I'm with everyone here Reb. Too many hours are lost those who spent playing silly games. When I was young (ok, here we go … now I geeze here) I n the few children of others in my neighborhood were always out playing something, but that was football from September to February. Basketball March to May. Baseball June to August. Even hockey and football sometimes. As for hunting … I was doing for own (illegal, yes) from age 13 onwards. I get off the bus and the board inside to enjoy one hour of hunting squirrel before that was done at night during the week. Every Saturday in the fall and winter, my ole man 'and I went hunting for something. Ok, I'm done geezing. Now be a good boy and go buy a little whistle of POPs and moon cakes. Just do not listen to that devil's music. You know, those things Roll 'n Rock that young people are in these stunned.
