This is a review of Nintendo DS. Before starting, it is important to note that there are actually two different Nintendo DS. Either the original, and of course revising the current Nintendo DS Lite. Within this review, I am speaking specifically about the version of the DS Lite.
Firstly, The DS Lite is much smaller and lighter than its original version. It is also very elegant and can easily slip into your pocket. So when you open the console, you will notice immediately that it has two screens (hence the name DS "Dual" Screen). The screens are positioned vertically, with a screen on top of the console, and another screen at the bottom of the console.
You two speakers located each side of the top screen. The sound that comes from these speakers is actually quite decent, but does not compare to the sound quality when you use your headphones. Located in the heart of the system is the microphone. Then, basically, we have your standard D-Pad, X, Y, B, A, Start and Select buttons.
Located on the very top of the system, you have a slot for DS games, the port on your charger (which is to recharge the internal battery), and your buttons L and R. Located while the bottom is a site for your Game Boy Advance, a volume slider, and a headphone jack. On the side, you have your power button, and slot for the stylus.
I had my DS for a while now, and in terms of raw functionality, this system works as a field. I dropped my DS several times (accidentally of course), and it shows absolutely no sign "waive". So I would only recommend this product? Since I spent more time playing my DS then I have other video game system, my answer is a resounding yes!
