Finally, the highly anticipated Nintendo DS has arrived. Above the famous Game Boy heritage, the DS is no longer under the name Game Boy.
The Nintendo DS does not seem large at first glance and it really did not come to your regular jeans pocket. It seems more from the Game Boy Advance SP, and, but just as thick as the SP. You'd be surprised to learn that the DS comes with two different screens (one at the top and the other is at the bottom) and the bottom is a touchscreen. An absolute pleasure as well and increases the player's interactivity with the game as well.
So how good is the touch screen of the DS? Well firstly, you should not use your fingers and place your stylus was given at the back of the DS. The touch screen works pretty well and is comparable to a PDA. Nintendo R & D team has certainly put a significant amount of effort on making this. However, we would not know if the stylus is actually scratch the screen surface as we have not used long enough for this to show.
Old Game Boy users will have two additional buttons available on the DS and this are the X and Y buttons, in addition to the old A and B. In addition, the volume of the DS are not that strong compared to its predecessors, but it is still strong enough to be heard in a noisy environment. The screen is backlit and those who have problems with lit FS can now say goodbye to these problems. In a bright screen of the DS can still be seen without putting much effort.
The DS has been here for a good time and thus the amount of games available has also increased exponentially. Users are exposed to organize a variety of games available in many kinds. However, sorry to say that even if the DS showed improvement in graphics compared to the PS, it still lags behind PSP Sony. On the other hand, the DS is more family friendly and has some game titles very interesting.
Multiplayer games are no longer on cable thank you in wireless ad-hoc feature that allows users to connect to other DS users wirelessly. In addition, this, Nintendo was also programmed an application called PictoChat, which allows the user to chat with other DS players in the neighborhood. No keyboard is available on DS and you have to write the notes you want to go through the touch screen.
The DS is certainly a good device and it is certainly an improvement over the SP Advance. With its wide range of titles, the DS is certainly a favorite among children and adults. Only time will tell how successful it would be in the future.
