Need to get the monitor mix: Using IEM sends only have 4?
I have a sound card Mackie 32-4. We have recently changed ECM system. Current Design: Aux 1: Leader of the band – In the ear Aux 2: vocalist – In the ear Aux 3: The auxiliary battery 4: 2 wedges slopes … The main use is for Keyboardist and violinist, also used by bass to hear what the other bands doing. Therefore, it is not the lead vocalist in the mix, so they are an instrument which is usually an acoustic guitar. I hope this makes sense. His ghetto, but it is the best way I've found to get everyone in the band. I need the wedges make the bassist and keyboardist, will be lost because they did not have headphones and I did not want to put so many people in the headphones the same mixture. So my question is how I can get more aux sends without buying a board of 7 to 14 Auxiliary queue!
I'm sorry to say, but you are kind of stuck with the mixer. It has only four "pre fader" aux. That means you can have four separate monitor mixes – that's all. It is possible that could jeopardize many of the in-ear mix – in other words, some of the musicians can be happy with the same mixture that another person will receive.
