Madden NFL 10 game is more fun and more realistic in some aspects than previous versions. True to its realistic nature, a mixture good and bad was the disturbing element in this game for the entire series. The transition ball is very realistic, while the Pro-Tak adds functionality glamorous. The simplified menu allows easy navigation and the right to vote online is another great feature. On the other hand, defense AI is inconsistent and requires more attention than the downfield blocking execution. Reducing the cut scenes will, it would have been better. Above all, the commentary is bad and needs huge improvement.
In both versions online and offline, the game settings are very obvious. As announced, the Pro-Tak seems very realistic. It is interesting to watch players struggle to pull down the ball carrier, which resembles a real game action. The game allows you to avoid too many breakaways and, thus, it seems to have a downfield blocker poor form. All these setbacks add up and although it does happen the same way in the real NFL, it happens more often in this game and did seem a little unreasonable.
Another question defenses that are controlled AI is a huge setback and their inconsistency is haunting at times. In major games, it is easy to see that the analysis Number each move and then made the strategic plans based on this to kill you. Despite all this, the passing game is pretty realistic here.
Compared to other versions, the fatigue factor plays a more important role. When the star player is targeted constantly and logs are intended to him, he goes to bed early. Another feature is the unfortunate injury, since the penalties for repeated calls play. Overall, the appearance and feel of the game is refined and improvements in the finer details, like player models are easily discernible.
Stains on models look very realistic and the presentation part of the game feels right to broadcast quality TV. But sometimes the fans are turning their backs on the players without no reason. It also seems to be a visual distortion for a few seconds after the game starts caused by the emphasis on depth of field.
As indicated above, the commentary is the worst aspect of the game. Although the commentator Chris Collinsworth has made efforts to do a good job, his play Guy played, Tom Hammond is bad. He spoiled the interesting aspects of the commentary and was actually quite bland.
It is good to know that EA has taken great care to go fundamentals of the game with Madden NFL 10 and made some constructive changes in respect of this. While passing game is much more refined here, the game race is good compared to other versions. The Offline franchises and the Pro-Tak is a sufficient reason for anyone to get involved in the game this year. In addition, the new co-option component that allows two people to play on the same system is another added feature though. The camera and its positioning needs more improvement. In addition, inconsistencies in the defense mechanism of AI must be supported. Regardless of these setbacks, the game is always a success and with just these minor changes, it would be the best game ever played.
Die hard NFL fans are going to love this game. Others may want to rent Madden NFL-10 before they buy it.
