The Game Boy Monitor
The monitor used by the Game Boy is a simple screen type LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), which can display 4 different colors or grayscale. It is both an advantage and a disadvantage for the Game Boy. The good thing is that it does not consume half as much battery other color systems such as portable Atari Lynx and Sega Game Gear. Other things that have been further improved with the Pocket Go is the size of the ITA. you can even put it in your pocket!
Try placing a Game Gear in you pocket if you can! The two drawbacks of the screen LCD is that it seems a little dull in only 4 different shades of gray, and it can be hard going to get a good projection screen. You need a light source strong enough proximity. This has been improved with the new GB pocket, so it's not really a problem.
Can you play older gameboy games on your DS or gameboy micro?
I heard people who have somehow improved their DS or gameboy micro and did able to play games from older generations. Does anyone know how? I have a DS and a gameboy micro (and yes, a gameboy micro exists). hesitate OK. I know how to play; WAN I know if their is a way to upgrade to play more game.
You can play Game Boy Advance and DS games on the DS, but you can not play the Game Boy Color or Classic (White and Black) games on the DS. The micro is in the same way. You can play Game Boy Advance games on the bus, but you can not play DS, color or classic games. I have not heard of this update, but probably would be cheaper and easier just to buy an old gameboy games for you want to play. Game Boy Color are around $ 20, but have seen them for less at garage sales. The games just will not fit into your DS or Micro, due to its shape. Would need serious work to make the games fit into slots and can damage your system.
