Dementium 2 Review: Raising the bar on DS FPS
Renegade Kid, Dementium developer II, showed the video game developers what it means First create a Person Shooter for the Nintendo DS with this latest installment on the system. At first glance, the players of today can bear graphics for Nintendo 64. However, you must remember the technical limitations of the handheld device and how Renegade Kid pushes the limits to the extent that they can. Dementium 2 is a fun and challenging adventure that is a welcome addition to the category of a mature system of delegates both alone games for children and adolescents.
Platform: DS
Publisher: SouthPeak Games
Genre:
ESRB Rating: Mature
Release Date: 04/05/2010
Graphics: 9.0 / 10.0
In short, the graphics are outstanding for the Nintendo DS This system not really the capabilities of the PSP and was never really designed to be as such. However, Dementium 2 uses own textures and effects light interesting that contribute to the overall impression of the game. The frame rate is smooth and every hall and in the game is well designed and interesting.
Play: 9.0 / 10.0
The original game has really taken the cake in development for the Nintendo DS was involved so that the second installment is naturally less well received in that innovation is concerned. However, the game is still fun and intense and the presentation is very solid. The action takes a front seat to tell stories, but it really should be held games about – action plans to get through short car rides and flight delays. The game will not really make you jump out of your skin. But there are moments that can make goosebumps that are very well done.
History: 7.0 / 10.0
Although Dementium 2 offers some of the same creatures and themes as the original game, this is really not designed as a narrative. The game begins with you waking up in a prison cell without any previous explanation. From there, you move from place to place – later explained as a random change through universes alternative. This aspect is very well done because it is often difficult to determine if you are really moving in space or simply imagine your adventure. The story unfolds with a few laps, but nothing really what helps the story to get noticed.
See Images for this game here.
Music: 8.5 / 10.0
Music Dementium 2 is haunting and well presented. At times during video games, music serves to contribute to sound effects of monsters and shrill laughter that seem to come from nowhere. Team Renegade Kid Development obviously recognized the minimalist aspects of music in horror games and correctly applied that it contributes to the game play, but does not affect the overall experience.
Replay Value: 6.0 / 10.0
Well, the game is relatively short – Even for a Nintendo DS. You can play the game again in a survival mode if you want more game for money. Only $ 30.00 MSRP, it is easy to do so. However, you have little to play through Dementium 2 more than a few times, then turn into a new game
Global rating: 8.0 / 10.0
Dementium 2 is a strong complement to the DS library and does exactly what it set out to do when it was developed – Provide a short and sweet distraction for network owners. However, the game could have been a little more time or add some extras from match to keep you busy for a while. As with most action games DS, it helps the replay value of adding a few missions you punchy short distances can enjoy for weeks to come. However, if you are looking for a game truly scary that you can pop into your DS, Dementium 2 is a bulk purchase.

Get a wii, dont plan to "play" game?
Every review I see of the Nintendo Wii just seems to me to see people say how amazing it's because your friends can come over and have Wii parties! ummm, well that's not really what I'm looking for. I am looking for a sytem that I can sit in my spare time and enjoy some games and rest. I'm also a fan of games like Morrowind, GTA, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, Halo. I grew up on the N64, but the only one to play Mario games are 64 (I have on my DS), and Goldeneye will never see the light of day in the wii. I like the basic concept of the wii, but do not see much game wise draw me in, while the 360, as wrong as can be (it breaks / price), has a notch CATALOGUE Top upcoming games solo and online play. opinions? I think that spending $ 600 for a PS3 is quite out of the question …
This is the 360. Your right in thinking that if not a style "part" of player, then the Wii may not be for you. Nintendo designed the Wii for "non gamers" that separated the real players in the system. As for the PS3, if you want the same thing a 360, but $ 200 more, with less games, but with incredible power blue ray then that's your man. Now, if you have an HDTV, the 360 is the way forward. Wait a year or so for the PS3 to put some games on the shelves for us to play.
