Why did Nintendo change the look of their Famicom system when they came to America?
If Nintendo changes the appearance of the Famicom / NES when he came to North America for several reasons: "The North American release of the Nintendo Entertainment System is gray, squat, and looks more like a machine. Neutral colors fit in with American equipment other at the time, and could easily enter a home with a VCR or stereo and not destacan.-The Game "Overload" Video, 1983, extended the console makers to rethink the way they were marketed consoles. Each console at the time, basically resembled one another, and there were so many consoles on the market, was a hard sell to convince buyers that any one particular, was "the best." Since all looked the same, it was more difficult to sell the devices and games, as some users (parents) could not remember what system they purchased for their son, when asked. Nintendo wanted to change that with the NES, so it is visually recognizable, but not chillones. "The Famicom also had some weaknesses, as the drivers are wired to the console itself, and if a driver is broken or cut wire is one or (any other abuse may be distributed to a controller) that can not be easily replaced. With Nintendo, it was partitioned more. They made parts, so if something broke, another can be ordered or place without replacing the entire system. The combination of these factors made a strong argument for Nintendo to create a stylish (for now) piece of equipment that visually stood apart from other competitors at the time, took the Famicom success, and redesigned some of its shortcomings. ____ "The Famicom cartridges that were used 60-pin, and inserted into a slot in the top of the machine, like a Super Nintendo. Nintendo uses a 70-pin cartridge, and, again, had an insertion in the front that looked a lot like video players of the era. Although there were some games on floppy disk for the Famicom in Japan, the floppy disk drive not included in the base system, and the reader never distributed outside of Japan. No later became a Famicom -> NES cartridge adapter, but that is neither here nor to answer the question.
