The Nintendo DS is one of the most popular hand-held game systems worldwide. Just like the Nintendo Game Boy, he has a suite and a user base which is challenged by anyone. It does not seem to matter which hand out the console, the NDS (and now the new Nintendo DSi) continues to sell more than all.
The biggest gripe, however, the part of Nintendo DS owners is simply that the Nintendo DS does not really do much more than just play games. Compared to the Sony PSP for example – which can play movies, music, display photos, etc. .. The NDS is like a kids toy.
Now anyone who owns a Nintendo DS knows he is far from just a few children toys. It has some of the most attractive games for handball stretched console and a huge following. It is also one of the most "home-brewed" gaming systems on the market today. I mean there are literally hundreds of independent programmers who just LOVE to create games for Nintendo DS / DSi. And what is Even better, they love to give these games away from being free. They do not want money for it, in fact, they disagree anyone who does not want money for their Home Games brewing.
And there really are thousands of these games available online, all easily downloaded. But you need a way to use, use and play these games. Naturally, they are not released as cartridge. They were released on as files online, you must first download and then placed on a map. So just what is this card? And where can you get it? Map is the R4 DS Card – its shape is that of a regular Nintendo DS cartridge, and allows you to store and load files from microSD cards (that slip in the card R4 DS his own microSD card slot)
Once you have the R4 DS card, you then have access and the ability to play all these games in the house mixing and application. Now, there's more to this than just play games beer house. Remember what we said on the Nintendo DS defect in its ability to play movies, music, and other types of media files? Well, once you have the R4 DS Card – you can do much more on your Nintendo DS / DSi than just play games. You can watch movies on the NDS, as with the PSP. All movies that you can be on the card R4 DS Next play on your Nintendo DS. Whole movies, TV episodes complete, etc.. You'll also be able to play your MP3 music on your NDS console. iPod style. It will almost turn your NDS MP3 iPod style.
It is also very important that I note that the model of the R4 DS card you need purchase depends entirely on the type of Nintendo DS you have. You see, the R4 DS Card was released when the original Nintendo DS was released (Not the newer model LITE, but the original gray colored unit). And while every R4 DS Card will work on both the original Nintendo DS Latest Nintendo DS Lite, R4 DS original card does not work in the more recent Nintendo DSi. They simply were not designed to do so.
Leave no console without the possibility of using the R4 DS Card, R4 DS manufacturers released a updated version of the R4 card DS in the form of SDHC Flash Card R4i. The SDHC R4i was designed specifically for the new Nintendo DSi consoles. But unlike the original R4 DS Card SDHC R4i also work in all older / original Nintendo DS and Nintendo DS Lite as well – making it fully backwards compatible.
So where you are actually buying, which depends only console you have. If you have the original Nintendo DS or Nintendo DS Lite – then the R4 DS Card – original version – work very well for you. If you are considering to improve in the future to the console from Nintendo DSi – so I want to buy something rather like SDHC card R4i, who will work with your current set up – but also future proof against your will upgrade. And of course if you only have a Nintendo DSi, then you should be watching R4i SDHC card.
Whichever version of the R4 DS card you buy, you'll have all the same features and functions, allowing you transform your Nintendo DS or Nintendo DSi to be much more than a great game hands.
