Video Game Systems – Yesterday and Today
Atari, Sega, Nintendo and Sony Play Station, are some of the many video game systems which have been popular in recent decades. The baby boomers have seen the rise of video game systems, while raising their children, and now while watching their grandchildren.
The system first home video game was available in 1972. It has been called by Magnavox Odyssey. The main games have been featured a tennis game and a light gun game. There was no new systems available until 1976, when Fairchild Camera and Instruments released their system simply called "Video Entertainment System. This was the first system to have cartridges, exchanged on a player to change the game cartridge in 1977, Atari initial bet part arcades inside restaurants. These games arcade have been so successful that Atari decided to create their own video game system for home, which used cartridges, called the Atari 2600. Some of the games available for the Atari 2600, were as Space Invaders, Battlezone, and the ever-popular Pac-Man. That the world between the years 1980 a company called Nintendo has created a game called Donkey Kong, which was also played on the Atari 2600. The game was based on a plumber who tried to save his girlfriend from a mad monkey named Donkey Kong. The plumber was named later, Mario.
Things remained relatively calm in the video game industry until about 1985, when Nintendo created the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System). Around the same time, Sega has created a Sega Master System to compete with the NES.
In 1989, video games became mobile. Game Boy from Nintendo and Sega Genesis. These are essentially small hand-held versions of large enterprises systems. They also had small cartridges that have been exchanged for a mission to change games.
In 1995, Sony has joined with Philips to create the system of a first home video games that use CDs instead of cartridges for their games. Then Sony Play Station that has been introduced. Nintendo and SEGA has also created similar systems, but in the end play station Sony has won.
More than a decade later, the hits are now, Nintendo Wii (pronounced WE), Sony XBOX 360, and for handheld systems, probably the Sony PSP. The Nintendo Wii, allows a player to use a wireless remote hand and their own body movements to control how their movements screen character. This is great for adding activity and exercise for video games as before, all that was needed was watching TV, the game controls that are directly related to systems with son or cables. Moreover, Sony Xbox 360 Live function, which allows players to watch other people around the world playing simultaneously. And, the Sony PSP, laptops, version pocket of the Sony Play Station, they say, the best graphics and most realistic look and feel to the characters of play
