Play Station 2 can not read data?
I have a play station 2 and Sayes when I put a game in which you can not read the disc or data. What can I do to fix this have a lot of money to replace the whole system is out of question. Please help I will try anything.
There are several potential problems that can cause disk read error on the PS2: 1. Scratched discs Dirty /. 2. Dirty laser head. 3. Laser head alignment. 4. Faulty power laser output. It sounds like you have damaged discs, but more probably a dirty laser head and laser alignment. To correct this, you need the most likely to open the console and manually clean the laser head or readjusted. While this is not a difficult process that requires a few simple tools and guidance. You can also buy a "disk head cleaner" that is available in most electronics stores. Although this can work if the problem is a dirty laser head is not going to fix a misaligned laser.
