The PlayStation Portable (PSP) is one of the gadgets of the 21st century. The popular PlayStation Portable PSP is a handheld game console manufactured and marketed by Sony Computer Entertainment. PSP lets you access games, videos, music and pictures anytime and share them with your friends and family. The PSP is the first video game console to use a handheld optical disc format, Universal Media Disc, as its primary storage medium. History of PSP
Sony first announced development of the PlayStation Portable at a press conference before E3 2003. Although models of the system were not present at the press conference or E3, [23] Sony has not disclosed the technical details pushed for the new system. On October 17, 2004, Sony announced the PSP would launch in Japan December 12, 2004 at a price of U.S. $ 181 for the model basis and $ 226 for the system of values. The console launch was a success with over 200,000 units sold the first day.

PSP Hardware Technology
The system includes two shoulder buttons and a mini USB 2.0 port B on the top of the console and a WLAN switch and a cable input power on the bottom. The back of the PSP has a read-only UMD drive for movies and games, and a reader compatible with Sony Memory Stick Duo Flash is located on the left of the system. Other features include an infrared port IrDA integrated stereo speakers and headphone jack and IEEE 802.11b Wi-Fi for Internet access, ad-hoc gaming multiplayer, and data transfer.
The PSP includes an 1800 mAh battery that provides approximately 4-6 hours of gameplay, 4-5 hours of video playback, or 8-11 hours of audio reading. Official accessories for the console include the AC adapter, car adapter, headphones, headphones with remote control, extended life Battery 2200 mAh, battery charger, carrying case, accessories pouch and cleaning cloth and bag system and a strap.

Sony has included the option for the operating system, called System Software to be updated. The updates can be downloaded directly from the Internet using the Service Network Update. Software Updates System have added various functions, including a web browser, Adobe Flash load, additional codecs for images, audio and video, PlayStation 3 connectivity, as well as security fixes several cons exploits, vulnerabilities, and execution homebrew programs.

Play Station games / consoles …. ?
I do not know much about the Play Station, so I need a little help … game play station [1] play Station 2 game? Or is it just ps2 games for PS2 and PS1 games for PS1? Uhhmm I hope you understand … BTW if anyone knows, none of the Final Fantasy games Play Station 2 game? Also, what about the slim ps2? I told my dad to buy me one, but I think I read somewere that cannot change the card memory … Is this true?
All PSX games are played on a PS2. To save your progress in a PSX game, you need a PSX memory card. You can not use a PS2 memory card to record the PSX game saves. The memory card can be changed on a PS2 Slim. All Final Fantasy games made for the PSX or PS2 will play on the PS2. The only exception is FFXI. To play FFXI in its non-PS2 Slim, you will need the hard drive. Can not play FFXI on the PS2 Slim, because the PS2 Slim can not have a hard disk. The expansion bay was removed to make slimmer PS2.
