Playstation-3 is a gaming experience that is beyond anything known today. This is a computer entertainment system that triggers a brilliant experience high-definition entertainment that is unparalleled. It offers the next generation of interactive entertainment.
Playstation-3 is the third home game video console produced by Sony Computer Entertainment. A major characteristic that distinguishes it from its predecessors is its unified service online gaming, the PlayStation Network. Other key features of the console include its huge multimedia capabilities, connectivity with the PlayStation Portable and use of next generation optical media, Blu-ray as its primary storage medium.
There are four models types that are usually covered by the size of their included hard disk drive, 20, 40, 60 and 80 gigabyte models. All packages include retail one or two six-axis controllers, a video / audio stereo, power cable, USB cable, output cable, and cable Ethernet (20, 60 and 80GB only).
Many accessories for the console have been developed for the system, including wireless controller six axes, the BD remote, PLAYSTATION Eye camera and the upcoming game TV DVB-T tuner / digital video recorder. The system has Bluetooth 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet, 20 USB and HDMI 1.3a built-in on all models. Wi-Fi is also included on the 40, 60 and 80 GB models while a flash card reader (which is compatible with Memory Stick, SD / MMC and Compact Flash / Micro Drive media) is built on the 60 and 80GB models.
The playstation-3 version of the "Xross Media Bar" includes nine categories of options. These include users, settings, photo, music, video, game, network PlayStation network and friends. In addition, it includes the ability to store and manage various secondary user profiles, manage and explore photos with or without a musical slide show, play music and copy audio CD tracks to an attached storage device, movies and video files from disk drive, an optional USB mass storage or Flash card or an optical disc (Blu-ray or DVD-Video), compatibility for a USB keyboard and mouse and a Web browser relating to such person in / compatible file download function.
The menu allows mail with friends and emoticons attached features photo and video chat which requires an optional PlayStation Eye or Eye Toy camera. The menu system allows online purchases via the PlayStation Store.
The 80GB Playstation-3 provides ample hard drive storage space for games and other entertainment content from the network game. Free registration to the PLAYSTATION Network allows you to play free games online, can download specific content and be in touch with your friends. The integrated Wi-Fi allows a perfect connection with your network. It includes the hard drive for all photos, music and personal videos.
The six axis wireless controller provides more precision and freedom during gameplay. The picture quality is perfectly preserved, with the ability of high resolution high definition 1080p. The built-in Blu-ray disc provides High Definition gaming and entertainment.
Sony also announced the DualShock3, a controller with the same design and function that the six axes, but with vibration capability included. It was released in Japan in November 2007, while a spring 2008 release date has been scheduled for Europe and North America.
The PlayStation-3, first, received generally negative reviews, as late, expensive and inconsistent, but after a series of price cuts and the release of several quality titles, the system began collecting comments better. Their motor sport game is very popular and their list of games is becoming longer.
With its advanced technology, the high-end Sony Playstation-3 `s larger hard drive and ability to play PlayStation-2 makes it an attractive alternative to less expensive models.

If I connect my PlayStation 2 via component cables to my LCD TV – not all games support this?
I guess that means that the component output is 480p but I hear not many games support 480p – I can play all PS2 games through component cables (and therefore get the best image around the time, with several games to get an impressive picture) or should I connect the appropriate cables for the game im game for example, that do not support 480p using s video or something ..?
If all games run through component cables. As you said, only part of producing games in 480p (progressive mode). The games do not run in 480p still come through the component cables, but the 480i will be shown on television. You do not need 2 sets of cables.
