The PS3 is bigger than all competitive products on the market. You have to go to a HDMI cable to play Blu-ray 1080p definition. PS2 vs PS3
There was many things happen for the PS2 at launch. It was introduced at a time when no other product in competitiveness were in sight. In Indeed, the main reason for high sales figures for the PS2 was not his game, but the provision of a DVD player that is comparatively much less expensive than standalone DVD players. As a direct result of this provision, the equipment costs have decreased. Manufacturers have been forced to cut prices.
But when Sony announced the PS3, the same factors are not in his favor. This time, Sony has competition from Nintendo and Microsoft. It has also been a sharp increase in the cost of the PS3 which does not bode well for sales. The Blu-ray feature has been beaten to market with the introduction HD-DVD, which offers better image quality. You also have to invest much more in additional equipment when you buy the PS3. This adds to the already enormous cost. And finally, the PS3 has no feature peculiar to speak. Whereas the PS3 was significantly better than its predecessors.
Thus, the PS3 seems lost on the PS2. It is time that Sony has taken note and tried to make amends. Otherwise, the PS2 is still in the driver `s seat at least for now.
