If money and ethics are not a problem, you could try to get a PS3 right now on eBay. But it is in many entrepreneurs minds, a risky business, and Sony will surely be the point of disgust that many, if not all units are sold at prices higher standard set earlier by Sony.
In October 2006 Sony also seems to close all PS3 auctions on eBay. In any case, prices were astronomical – only the hardest of hard-core fans will want to pay $ 1500 – $ 2000 today for their PS3.
If price is your main concern then it may be preferable to wait until the end of 2007 when the PS3 will have distributors at prices much lower. In short, the options are not very good for many of us seeking a new unit from Sony. This will certainly be a costly painful process to get their hands on one these big PlayStation 3 consoles today, but most of us can wait for better company!
