PS3 – If I had to redo
PS3 Consoles
I will try to hide my anguish disgruntled former Xbox360 as I write this. If you're in the same boat me, you have a 360, it broke, and you are considering moving into the PS3 consoles (especially with the lower prices), this review is for you.
Beside the PS3 and Xbox 360 have many similarities. Graphically, they are close, although I think the banks Sony 360 by a bit. The clarity and make it smoother and more seems impeccable. The sound is improved, but the truth is that my 360 had component outputs (no HDMI) and PS3 is running straight HDMI signal. Then Perhaps its unfair, but I didn't have a choice with the Xbox (it was a first generation 360, I realize its an option now).
catalogs of games and both have their strengths. No one can deny Gears of War, but I see a trend that games are almost always really good platform now, and Sony has some I can not deny that some of the best I've seen. Upcoming PS3 games consoles just like Uncharted 2 and God of War 3 I think will seal the deal for me. All my other favorites are available on both systems (GTA, Saints Row 2, Mercs 2, Assassins Creed, Bioshock), so there is really no loser there.
Hardware-wise, the PS3 is the strong, silent type. I mean, it's like a Lexus to a Fast and Furious-modified exhaust civic the noise measurement. My 360 has been incredibly strong, and frankly distracting gameplay because of that. Subtle, ambient surround sounds are heard easily with Sony. In addition, it presents little or no heat. I'm not joking in any way, my 360 used to raise the temperature of my room "game" about 5 degrees or more, it was crazy.
I will not enter the longevity and failure rates in the long run on both systems. Data are there, and the PS3 has a success rate much higher in this category. Money does not grow on trees, and I really the impression that I would just buy a console for the generation of a system. If I could start over, I went with the PS3 from the beginning.
Now, I do not play online, so if your thing, you can follow my advice with a grain of salt. If you like me and almost solo or co-op on site, you will not miss "Live".
I love the specs, I'm in love with the tranquility and I love the Blu-ray. I can not recommend enough PS3 consoles.
