The state of the video game industry
It has been more than a decade ago when Sony and Nintendo dominated the industry video game. He used both Sega and Nintendo that dominated the industry, but that was before Sony entered the scene, and literally knocked out Sega as a manufacturer of video game, leaving them with the creation of software titles only.
It was because of this incident which led many to believe that the industry was only able to hold two major consoles, tops. That changed, however, when Microsoft entered the scene in 2001 with their Xbox. This just proved that the industry was capable of holding more than two gaming systems. This changed everything.
Once that happened, video games were more than ever be created. Thus, the options in terms of software titles, developed for consumers. Thus, industry begins to develop. Increasingly started playing video games.
Fast Forward to today, and we have three consoles of games to choose from – the great thing is that each system has something different to offer. We have the Xbox 360, which has solid online games, with more joining the online community. We have the PS3, which is a very powerful console, and has some really good exclusives. Then we have the Nintendo Wii, which offers based on movement controls, and has many software titles that the whole family can enjoy.
Because the gap in terms of material, between each console output has decreased, which means that previous generations of consoles will always be legitimate to many people. This means are still plenty of life left for consoles. It's really good for consumers, because now you can buy a stake system at very cheap prices. In addition to this, the software titles for specific systems can also be found for very low prices. This does not even include the used game sections of your local retailers Thurs.
So what is the state of the video game industry? Apparently, it looks really healthy. In addition, if you look at the statistics for the last five years, it shows a growth industry, that people increasingly start playing video games, and people who used to play and stopped, are now returning. It is not far when video games will be regarded as a legitimate form of entertainment.
