Sony already dominates the market for game consoles with its PlayStation line of consoles. They decided to venture into hand-held gaming as a natural extension of the line. To compete with Nintendo's Game Boy family of portable games, Sony released the PlayStation Portable or PSP. The last generation PSP, the Sony PSP 3000 is thinner, faster and more powerful.
Like its predecessor, Sony PSP 3000 uses hand a design similar to a controller gambling and the use of UMD discs for games and movies. It has the same configurations as above standard models of PSP and a similar 4.3 inch 480 x 272 the number of pixels on the screen. The only update made to the screen in this version of the PSP is its increased brightness, contrast and wider color gamut. Aa Sony also improved its AV output for video and game once connected to a TV installed and integrated with Skype using a micro-board basis. The rest remains unchanged.
The graphics on the Sony PSP 3000 are slightly better because the screen less reflective of the new PSP. Game play on the PSP remains unchanged. It's fun and the ability AV output, turning your PSP into a PlayStation Portable is a bonus point. Compared to the PSP 2000, the colors on the 3000 PSP look more lively and dynamic. However, the refresh rate of the screen high drain battery life significantly. That's the downside of the newly improved resolution.
The Sony PSP 3000 is a new edition of the PSP family but there is not much difference in terms of hardware. Those who have already PSP 2000 will find it unnecessary to upgrade to PSP 3000. First-timers who are looking for a play of light, thin and portable console, however find the PSP 3000 a great buy.
