What do you call a crazy astronaut? – - A Astronut.
The following is a near word for the online version of my word booklet © 1986 WEIRD Eschatology: an alternative view of The Second Coming (ISBN 0-9616435-0-1, Library of Congress Call BT823.M55 1986). When you're finished, you can conclude that this particular particular interpretation of the Apocalypse should be relegated to the teaching of self-appointed cranks, crazy, prophets of doom and various other assorted fanatics. But perhaps, even then, your point of view may be clarified when you read this. The first chapter deals with theology and perhaps a little dull, but fasten your seatbelt, as I become more and more strange to come (in terms of any interpretation you've seen before). Note that I use texts for untraceable and most obscure films. Lack of access to these sources should not hinder your understanding as follows. In addition, to highlight the issues I discuss here apparently memorable, I capitalize on sentences, I discuss.

CHAPTER

A CALENDAR PLAUSIBLE

Are you a Christian? Do you believe in the Second Coming at a later date? Is it legitimate to construct timetables for Future events?
Rhetorical questions such as the departure may put you off. A major difficulty is that no consensus on when and what order these predicted events must take place. This subject has always been a particular source of schism and controversy. I propose specific dates also numerous in every generation before me. And as many have been before me, I may be rebutted by the mere passage of time.
The majority view adopted by most evangelical premillennalism pretribulational, I only partly agree with. I note that under this view is actually based on a historical novel that traces only from the nineteenth century. What I mean here is that, in terms of movement extremely slow theology (remember that the canon was finalized about two thousand years ago), the majority opinion is a relatively recently.
I much prefer a minority position, which is called multiple postmillennialism delight. The position holds that most postmillennial projections made in the New Testament, including those of the Olivet discourse (Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21), were conducted at the beginning of the era Christian, and limit the performance of the latest to predict future events. There is one school, represented by, for example, Max King, Timothy James, who wants every prophecy of the Old Testament as the New has been accomplished over the young Church. However, I feel this point fails to take appropriate consideration of the Book of the Apocalypse.
Postmillennialism Preterism is also sometimes called, which means that the text is allowed to speak without exegesis. Thus, when Jesus repeatedly predicted the Kingdom within a generation, I do not write the statement as an error or an excess of enthusiasm. Instead, I draw up a schedule that shows the beginning of the Kingdom a generation after the Crucifixion. Then When John of Patmos said Millennium begins on that date the beginning of the Kingdom, I am going to my table (at the end of this chapter) and set the year one thousand Clock. It was in fact a precise date of a generation after the Crucifixion – the turning point in the year 70. It was the historic date the fall of Jerusalem, which is not a particularly significant date in the more regular discussion. This is the date of the first resurrection, in the terminology of John of Patmos, which begins the Millennium.
What happened in AD 70? After a long siege by the Roman legions, Jerusalem was sacked and leveled. To the untrained eye, as described by Flavius Josephus in the Jewish war in gory detail, the scene was one of mass destruction in which not even the temple has been spared. But the spiritual eye, as Russell PAROUSIA demonstrated over a century ago, these events were the implementation of the Olivet discourse and the return of Jesus and his armies to conquer in the clouds to inaugurate the spiritual reign with the saints and martyrs. Other sources cited in the bibliography which Chilton PARADISE RESTORED espouse this point of view. Chilton appointed Jerusalem as the prostitute of Babylon and Rome as the Beast. (Note added 2006: In 1986 my calendar, I followed Chilton. I have since reversed my opinion. Now I see Rome as the prostitute and Jerusalem as the Beast.)
I need to pause a moment to consider the question of dating of the Apocalypse. The currently accepted date of the appearance of the book of Apocalypse is the year 95. If this is the correct date, the realization of the predictions made so far would be a matter of perspective. I recommend John A. Review of T. Robinson of this issue in the REDATING New Testament. Robinson cites numerous internal and external evidence to move the date of the Apocalypse back to AD 70 period. In addition, it traces the standard 95 See AD back to a single source. This source is a statement by Irenaeus that the Apocalypse appeared "toward the end of Domitian reign." This statement is ambiguous and may even be simply wrong. Other sources cited in the bibliography (including Chilton and James) to accept an earlier date.
The book of the Apocalypse is a significant amplification of the previous Gospels and Epistles. Here's the concept of the Millennium is introduced for the first time only. The timetable presented by John of Patmos extends to the future Day of Judgement and the establishment of New Jerusalem, thus completing the canon of the New Testament.
Regarding the period of the Millennium, lasting approximately a year 70 AD 1070, the starting point was the spiritual event, the parousia, as indicated by Russell and Chilton. But the secular historians search Back to this whole period he scored the Dark Ages. More recently, the verdict was tempered by the demonstration developments and technological advances that have occurred in the Middle and Far East during these years. But it remains true that Western civilization, mainly in Western Europe in those years, they were times of unprecedented barbarity and ignorance. During this time the blood of countless martyrs were released late in setting the Roman Empire and the establishment of the Church. Violence was the order of the day and sugarcoating or pink lenses are not necessary. The first resurrection is an event of mass destruction and the United Kingdom or Millennium was an era of barbarism. In other words, it is not an accident or coincidence that compliance was apocalyptic. Instead this, it is an important principle to remember here, as I point out that the Day of Judgement will be mass destruction and the New Jerusalem appears to follow the new barbarism lay eyes on. I will take those thoughts again in later chapters.
Why does not the Judgement Day to begin with the end AD1070 Millennium? Historically, most people do, so expect to see the return of the Messiah. I answer the contrary it was the date which Satan was not bound to his season. Here's the part I with several of the sources cited in the bibliography. They prefer to see the millennium as an undetermined period possibly extending thousands of years with Satan loosed his only season shortly before the Second Coming. They see the Church even in the millennial period expansion and consolidation of its gains eventually convert the entire world immediately before Advent. On On the contrary, I hold that John of Patmos really meant a period of about a thousand years, and that Satan was at planting work its evil. I recognize that season has now lasted nearly a thousand years of its own. One consolation is that this long period is finally on the verge of being concluded. Satan has been very busy with my point of view during the last centuries. Examples of his work would be infamous events such as the Renaissance, the Reformation, the Counter-Reformation, the Inquisition, the Enlightenment, the Industrial Revolution down to the contemporary mass movements horrible. I could be accused of being a feudal or obscurantist here. However, I do not look back to the United striker as the approach of New Jerusalem. At this point in time I think we reached the low point of the descending curve of hell, just before the return of the Messiah.
Thus, I teach hellfire and damnation, as do most evangelicals who believe right premillennial. But as I said, the postmillennialists the bibliography, which are also uniformly conservative for the most part, the place much less emphasis on this aspect.
I am also in agreement with the premillennialists to respect of the abduction. Historically, for eighteen centuries, the Rapture has been taken as essentially simultaneous with the Advent. This procedure is described, inter alia, MacPherson THE GREAT HOAX delight and Kimball in the rapture: a question of timing. MacPherson shows that nineteenth century called Scotch seeing Margaret MacDonald in 1830 brought the pretribulational Rapture – a time separation of a secret rapture of the Second Coming. This introduction was a theological novelty or innovation. MacPherson traces the concept of its introduction through the figures of the nineteenth century Darby and Scofield to the evangelists integrate electronic today. I said that I accept the point of view multiple Rapture, which is a variant of the Rapture pretribulational. I agree, based on the work of my sources, that this point of view has its origins in the nineteenth century. I'll explain why I hold this view in the last part of chapter three.
I must emphasize that because I take a preterist perspective, I put less emphasis on seeing events in the first resurrection exactly duplicated on the Day of Judgement. For example, Nero was the Antichrist clearly for the year 70, but I do not necessarily expect to see a new Antichrist before the Second Coming. If needed, we could choose from among many applicants twentieth century for this post. Similarly, I do not expect to see upcoming events occurring in the real Jerusalem this time. I predict in chapter four, they are more likely to start in one of the advanced countries of the West.
Beginning with the next chapter, I will use seemingly incongruous sources, such as the left wing of the sources of the sixties. I'll dig in movies and media in general. These sources will exalt are relevant to questions of this chapter. So far I have sketched a plausible but not ordinary point of view of Christian eschatology. From this point forward, as promised, expect the point of view presented as "bizarre."

CHAPTER TWO

A first look at Norman W Brown

It is a tale

There is a good possibility that you have never heard of Norman O. Brown or met any of his writings. His books are now a generation old and partly exhausted. Perhaps some of the issues he raised are moot with the passage of time.
I think when its books originally Brown was taken out as a simple radical sex. I am saying here in the sense that Brown would not debate if I felt that this is only what he did. A superficial reading of his enigmatic, aphoristic style actually give that impression. However, the real subject of two of his books, LOVE'S BODY (1966) and closing (1973) was religion. Of the two books, closing time is now exhausted, but necessary for a complete picture. With these two books Brown actually solved the mysteries of religion. Am I saying here that if you understand these books, you'll have all the answers to your questions on religion? Yes is what I ask. Brown did get all the way to the shrine. If you are able to solve puzzles Brown, you simultaneously solve the mysteries of religion. I say this fully aware that scholarship to Brown made a monumental task.
If I have piqued your curiosity, and you decide to take a look at Brown, the best procedure would be to consider other sources as a preliminary. This is Altogether there are in the Brown case in plain English, you understand, but you can have more success by circling from the periphery. A good source print from the same period is Eric Gutkind The body of God: the first step towards an anti-theology. This book is also written in an aphoristic style. Comparing the title of this book Body Love will give you a clue to start on the road to resolution of Brown. Watch the philosophical side, the funeral of Michael Harrington LA POLICY TO GOD astutely asks all the right questions. The best book ever written on Jesus Christ our Constantin Brunner: THE REVOLT OF mystical genius (1921). Here's an interesting phrase from the book: "there he hung, the blasphemer of God and slander the noblest of men, the poor fool malicious, the miserable incorrigble, the son of bitch and whore Monger, the swindler, the liar, the secucer. "Freudians called radical, in general, like Marcuse, Reich and Roheim, In addition to Brown, are relevant.
There is no space for an exegesis of Brown. Instead, I'll outline the central idea – The importance of the primal scene. For the uninitiated, the primal scene is what mom and dad did in the bedroom. Now, even the disciples Freud had difficulty seeing the importance of the oedipal primal scene and repeatedly attempted to revise their master. Perhaps the best way to get an inking of its importance to establish a confrontation between the Joker (the little "castrated" clown played by Brown) and you. Put yourself in the next scene as a male:

I can not think of a thing happened to Sodom that has not happened here several times. Tell me when you happened here was the same as the city is now? "
You answer, "More or less it was, indeed."
The Joker said: "This city is a tough place to try to earn a living in life is so hectic, there is such a constant peak and crash, sometimes I think I am really caught in a nightmare and wakes up at any time. This is not a place to try to found a family to raise a child. There is no place for children to play here. You know, even though I had many opportunities to unzip my pants and leave my gun here, I have not felt good about it and decided today to keep my pants zipped up. But I see by the ring on the situation here does not seem to discourage you. You had the same chance, after all, look around and see what was happening. The Joker and ignores that pauses a moment to scan the distant horizon. It Then a finger at the highest skyscraper, rising in the night – a known source of civic pride for all residents (and undoubtedly a phallic symbol). The Joker turns and asks: "How? – That the building there – Tell me how that modern Tower of Babel was built? No, let me answer the question. It was built by men who at one time or another open their pants. This is not one of them has ever been forced to you understand. It is after all a voluntary act. Now I ask you to consider for a moment with me what would have happened if it is not one of these men had already opened their pants at all – not even once. How much of what you see here today would still be here? My answer – not a bit of that here, including the building, I have to tell. I wondered why these days we have established with perpetual nightmares here that we follow to obtain These massive monuments built. If we could reach all women under control, we could sit around all day and drink beer and play cards. "
You answer: "Give a lazy ne'er-do-well -"
The Joker interrupts: "What we really need here is a king – the Mad absolute, we can find the largest member. I think you will agree that I am the ideal candidate for this position because I am absolutely no good for anything else. "
The chip pair to another, ready to fight.

Let me make the important point about this story "you" dialogue might as well be the father of the Joker like everyone else – not a single line of the above should be changed. (In the original tale of Oedipus meets his father at the crossroads, the pair had been separated and there was a disguise and seemed not to recognize the other, at least consciously.) If the "you" of the story are indeed the father of the Joker, the Joker would be literally a son of a gun. This would also make the Joker on the side of his mother literally SOB
In the dialogue that took place at the Temptation of Christ (Matthew 4:1-11, Mk. 2:13, Luke 4:1-13), Jesus rejected Satan's offer the kingdoms of this world. Brown says that we are indeed in Satan's kingdom, namely, hell, especially in large cities. Jesus, one day, accept the domination of the kingdoms of this world, but only on the Day of Judgement when his enemies have been made in stools. When he returns he will bring the keys of hell and death. This implies that a massive restructuring of urban life today – our man Hell – begin at that time.
To change the subject, if you have an interest in James Joyce, you must examine the excerpts Brown met in the closure. Joyce is imitates (or is itself in fact) the insane. The WAKE is end to end, but nothing gibberings a madman. Finnegans Wake is a Rorschach test records, I mean that in its large pages, a phrase you are looking for before you open the book can probably be found. But all the extracts Brown met all conclusively that Joyce "cracking" of religion, namely that all responses were set in the wake. THE MESSIAH MEDIA: seek Jesus ON TV

"What the gods would destroy, they first crazy" I'll ask you some questions about this list for details. At first view, looking over this does not mean an exhaustive list, it seems that we must get our umbrellas (or perhaps a degree in meteorology). First question to ask is: How many of those phrases that you've met before? Try to think of where, if anywhere, one of these sentences can be found. After thinking it over, you may decide that some appear in the literature, some may be drawn from the Bible, but many of them come from the press.
Next on the list would be: The combination of all these sentences and I did, so I intend to suggest that every sentence is identical or synonymous with every other sentence in the list? No, they are interchangeable in some cases, but they are interdependent. What then do the sentences have in common? My answer is that all have a direct relationship to a single sentence:

MASS PSYCHOSIS

This phrase, Mass psychosis, you are probably less likely to have met. Mass Psychosis is the real meaning of fundamentalist doctrine of abduction secret.
Now, I'm sure if we had the opportunity to interview rock star Prince and asked him what he meant by that Purple Rain would not immediately answer, "a code word for mass psychosis." Similarly, Bob Dylan would not be inclined to say: "When I sang to About Idiot Wind, I wanted to say mass psychosis. "I would instead expect convoluted explanation involving literary metaphors, etc., if I received no response at all.
Besides, I said Prince deliberately because it was the controversy about of its "explicit" when the lyrics of his songs was released. I note that his detractors had nothing to say about the other dimension of his songs I'm pointing here – The Day of Judgement in 1999, etc.
Here I want to stop the discussion of the list and return at the end of this chapter with more comments. Let me briefly the general question of the media. Through the media I mean all the ducts through which we sometimes paid Entertainment – film, radio, television, etc. Because television has a voracious appetite, I'll use the term media and television, more or less interchangeably. Think how television, to fill each hour, engulfing the output of other media, from films to plays rock music, even as music videos. Some of us are logging in nearly a third of our lives glued to the sets of those days. As a baby boomer, I teeth and television and its pervasive influence has been granted. But after decades of exposure, we have now I think it is time that we should begin a serious examination of the media. His influence is probably much higher than the literary sources today.
Already in the sixties we had McLuhanesque dictum that the medium is the message. The idea is that content is not very important, but rather the existence and pervasiveness of the medium itself is the most significant fact.
Let me look at media criticism in terms of levels of increasing depth. At the lowest level in more catastrophic, the media are seen as providing entertainment harmless. But the billions dollars we throw in the media show that much more is happening. A little better is the extreme right wing evangelical view that television book and film are images of the devil and rock music is the devil's music. This approach has the advantage of being factually correct, but decreased more More on hard times as all but the diehards have capitulated and joined in the cacophony of media themselves. The large blocks of airtime radio and cable networks are devoted to the whole sale of Jesus sandwiched between ads for cars and hand soap.
A little more discriminating is the idea that television is a boob tube and rock music is subversive trash, and exposure to one or two can definitely chain your brain. Is the ultimate goal of producing a race of blind, without God, the giant zombie (the return of "men of renown" of Genesis described by Brown closure)?
What we in fact fascinated by the flickering images every hour? Why do so many of us couch potatoes – almost frozen into stone? What do we really watch? The response of Norman O. Brown is that we are witnessing the scene reenacted night Oedipal Primal after night in the endless repetition with slight variations. You object, "I beg your pardon. I watched a game show followed by a sitcom last night. "What we do here is to pay the artists to put on the show we want to see.
Finally, at the highest level criticism, we also simultaneously get the final verdict on the media. We follow Jesus crucified get night after night, in every detail even if we can not be aware of it. After decades of this, I think it is likely to catch up one day. In other words, sordid violence and evil that we see represented in the media may eventually come to us in real life.
Despite the general condemnation the last paragraph, I'll turn around and list of films. Ideally, you should stay away. But the reward will come for us all, whether or not we, individually, may or may not have looked. In the meantime, perhaps we can use the opportunity to study both the manifest and the subtle techniques employed.
The main kind of keep an eye on science fiction. As Susan Sontag said in the sixties, is the kind of the Apocalypse and mass destruction. Typically, as in the prototype FRANKENSTEIN (1932), the man tries to usurp the prerogatives of God (technically blasphemy) and madness and crop disaster. These are strictly moral parables, where the punishment is swift and sure.
Look, for example, Rene Clair THE Crazy Ray (1923) Children of the industry. The elements that would become cliches with decades of repetition still have been present. A mad scientist invents a ray machine, he built inside the Eiffel Tower that transforms people of Paris into stone. A plane was first out of reach of land ray, and passengers are surprised when they land. An interesting principle of criticism is to give special attention to the message of film titles. In this example, the title might bring to mind such questions as: "the title does the inventor was mad? Either the radius of crazy effects? Or the people crazy ray, which means that to distract people from the stone is driving the insane? "
A somewhat similar theme is presented in the Village of the Damned (1960) and its sequel THE CHILDREN OF THE DAMNED (1964) (these are the questions that these titles bring to mind?). This time, a mysterious influence seal off an entire village, the authors were in this case of foreign invasion. Here, as in the radius CRAZY, a geographical area is temporarily limited. The females are impregnated by aliens and then have children in the eyes of embers and mysterious powers. This aspect of the film echoes the story in the book of Enoch the dead angels descend to earth to mate with women and forbidden to teach the arts.
Let me briefly note some relevant characteristics of paranoid schizophrenia, as described by For example, Norman O. Brown, Geza Roheim and Victor Tausk. The patient believes entities of evil aliens from another world are secretly conspiring to do him evil. The patient may believe his enemies employ physical equipment such as projectors beam against him. It is subject to hallucinations seeing or hearing voices trying guide its actions against its will. In the next voice You Hear (1950) Normal radio is interrupted for short periods each night, and the troop seem to hear a message. This message seems to be more or less the Sermon on the Mount. Was it the voice of God? If this is not what it was?
Another recurrent theme in science fiction is the name of the candidate (false) messiahs. I say false, because we're just watching actors playing a role fiction. A prototype of the real life of these characters if found would not automatically result, a messiah. An example is The Man From Planet X (1951), which has a foreign that is trapped and needs assistance from the earth.
THE DAY the Earth Stood Still (1951) (note the title) is another false messiah. A stranger descends into a saucer, takes the interesting name of Mr. Carpenter, was killed and resurrected three days later, etc. In the case of this movie, analogies have been extensively awareness on the part of some people in production and have been taken from the novel on which the film is based.
In the brain of Planet Arous (1958) stranger
has a scientist, who then embarks on a quest to rule the world crazy. This is my all time favorite movie. It has the power to make on airliners from the sky, eyes while lauging maniac. He megatons were exhibiting no visible weapons in its project of world domination. There is also a demon of sex. Ingmar Bergman's THE MAGICIAN (1958) presents a rather dyspeptic false messiah of a spectacle of carnival of travel. The Messiah of Whistle Down the Wind (1962) (note the title) is a mistake fugitive for Jesus when discovered in their barn. When arrested and searched, he extends his arms in a cross. THE FLIM FLAM MAN (1967) is a little con artist living with his mind. CHARLY (1968) is mentally retarded until chemically transformed into a supermind. In the ruling class (1971), the candidate is an apparent psychopath. The Omega Man (1971), a remake of The Last Man on Earth (1964) (note the title) offers another ersatz messiah. In ZARDOZ (1973) Messiah figure is a barbarian.
SKY CAPTAIN AND THE WORLD OF TOMORROW (2004) as well as the Villan a man in his grave German name Toden Kopf (Skull). It took provisions for the Ark of Noah, a new construction. As so often, the villain is the secret hero, because here, Sky Captain actually destroyed the Ark! HOLOCAUST 2000 (1978) (note the forecast in the title) shows the performance of Kirk Douglas wildly running up and down the oil field Middle East, proclaiming the ten horns, etc. of the Apocalypse. The Messiah of the last wave (1979) is an Indian medicine man. In Being There (1979), a simple gardener of mind that can barely tie his shoelaces and is impressed by Mr. Gardiner be appointed Chairman as a sage. At the end of the film he walks on water because nobody told him this is impossible. A very brilliant academic SIMON (1979) is hired to impersonate an astronaut. After a period of brainwashing and rigorous fitness, Simon comes to believe he is actually an alien. It uses equipment that interrupting regular television programming when he wants to periodically deliver messages. Similarly, in Riders of the Storm (1986), the runners aboard a bomber to interrupt television programs.
Woody Allen's ZELIG (1984) has a schizophrenic chameleon who supposedly hobnobbed with leading political figures of the thirties. In the Purple Rose of Cairo (1985), also by Woody Allen, a hero larger than life leaves the screen in a cinema and the sordid life of a housewife from New Jersey. CREATOR (1985) has a goofy college professor trying to resurrect his dead wife. The students he recruited for the project are given lectures on the big picture.

How about MarioKart? That one is fun to play with friends and solo as well … It's fun to discover the shortcuts, and there is always a new challenge, if it is to unlock all the characters new, or trying to get a high score on the wireless. Big Brain Academy is fun and challenging – a lot of little puzzles and games to make you feel intelligent ( or stupid! ) And Brain Age is a kind of similar importance and there is more to learning. Brain Age also comes with sudoku puzzles, which are a great way to kill time. Maybe you could get the DS Browser instead of a new game and use it to play Web games and such, something different.
