Dingoo A320 Review

So I just received my A320 Dingoo gameyeeeah.com a week ago, and after checking on some games, videos and music what I thought I'll write something. Overall I am impressed by the portable game system, although it has some software flaws that hopefully be improved or corrected.

First emulators, I'll rate each emulator graphics, sound, control and entertainment 1-10 (1 = low, 10 = perfect)

A note in controls for all emulators: For some reason, you can not press Y and B at the same time, such as Mario If you pick up a shell and Mario will jump down the tank once you jump, it can be resolved by reassigning buttons, but I hope the devs fix this in an updated firmware.

Game Boy Advance emulator

Graphics 10/10 Perfect – No complaints here. It looks just like it would on my GBA. N frameskip apparent anomalies or graphics in one of the games I tested: Sonic Advance, Metroid Fusion, Legend of Zelda The Minish Cap, Super Mario Advance 2, Advance Wars, Final Fantasy 6 advance.

Perfect Sound 10/10 – Not to jump on the music or sound effects

Control 10/10 No problem here, besides the Y key problem present in all emulators. Shoulder buttons worked with 2 face buttons.

Fun Factor 10/10 No complaints. I can not think of anything wrong with it.

Note: Nothing else to say. Emulation perfect as far as I can tell.

Nintendo Entertainment System emulator

Graphics 10/10 Perfect – Games tested: Ducktales, Super Mario Brothers, Super Mario Brothers 3, Tiny Toons 2, Ninja Gaiden

Perfect Sound 10/10 – Not to jump on the music or sound effects

Control 10/10 No problem here, besides the Y button this issue in all emulators.

Fun Factor 10/10 No complaints. I can not think something wrong with this emulator either.

Note: Nothing else to say.

Super Nintendo Emulator

Graphics 7 / 10 – The games are not running at full normal speed. Some run too slow, others too fast. Playing with parameters frameskip has not solved the problem to a satisfactory level. Although decent and playable, the strain rate on certain games combined with problems sound (see below) has considerably affected the entertainment. Games tested: Diddy's Kong Quest, Chrono Trigger, Castlevania 5, Mega Man X, Tetris Attack, Turtles in Time.

Sound: 4 / 10 – Due frameskip, music on most games tested was off, jumping, and just a pain to listen. The sound effects are great, but seeing as how the SNES has some of the best video game music ever, its for EMU has been a great disappointment.

Control 8 / 10 – There seems to be a problem with some games to capture all 6 buttons. Not all games use 6 buttons for snes, but many do. Y problem key here too.

Fun Factor 7 / 10 – Decent. Some games are more enjoyable with the sound. Skipping and distorted music was just too distracting for me.

Note: I hope the speed (and sound quality) This emulator can and will be improved in terms of the NES and GBA emus so that we can all enjoy the incredible music of Chrono Trigger, Diddy's Kong Quest and Final Fantasy anytime, anywhere. Setting frameskip 2 makes a lot more games playable with sound.

Sega Genesis (Mega Drive) emulator

Graphics 1 / 10 Oh the the! The worst graphics emulation. Graphics have scanlines on moving objects (as in the most games the screens of any movement, the entire screen is distorted and fuzzy. Makes all games unplayable for me. FrameSkip is also very noticeable. It seems there are more scan lines when there more action on screen, and less when there is less going on. Games tested: Adventures of Batman and Robin, Ecco, Gunstar Heroes, Sonic and Knuckles, Vectorman, Mortal Kombat 2, Shinobi 3.

Sound 7 / 10 sound effects were nice, if a little noisy. Although the music was playing not exactly normal speed, it was good for most games.

Control 8 / 10 Although there is an option to configure the buttons of a controller 6 buttons, they do not work button for 6 games (Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3)

and the Y button this issue in all emulators.

Fun Factor 1 / 10 – The graphics and scanline frameskip combined with a slight sound distortion and important games as Sega Genesis games unplayable.

Note: If Dingoo can emulate arcade games so well, there must be some way of making Genesis games run better than they are today.

CPS1 emulator

Untested!

Is there not even good for CPS1 games? Did not download any could not test.

CPS2 emulator

Graphics 6 / 10 – fighting games have been slow and unplayable. UPS Beatem run well. Games tested: Street Fighter Alpha 3, Marvel Super Heroes, X-men children of the atom, Alien Vs Predator, Giga Wing.

Sound 10/10 – After deleting the games not functioning properly, the rest had a perfect sound.

Control – 7 / 10 dpad not built for fighting games. After the abolition of games that do not work correctly, the controls beatemups and puzzle games worked well.

Fun – 9 / 10 Alien Vs Predator and Giga Wing perfect job. Did not intend play fighting games on the Dingoo anyway.

Note: Even if there is room for improvement, because the way the dpad is unfit the fight against games and other games run perfect or very good, I would say that for developers to give low priority for fixing this emulator and focus on the Megadrive and not just END.

Neo Geo Emulator

Graphics 8 / 10 – Neo Geo games are very impressive on the small screen, very sharp and clear. FrameSkip noticeable when theres a lot of action. Metal Slug seems incredible, albeit imperfect, with slowdown. Games tested: Metal Slug 3, X, Blazing Star, Sonic Wing 2, Last Blade.

Sound 7 / 10 – Due frameskip, the music is slightly off, generally slower than normal.

Control – 10/10 – No problems playing with UPS shootem controls.

Fun – 8 / 10 most games have worked well. Setting frameskip 6 Metal Slug seems to make it more stable.

Note: I would like that if these games could stay closer to the speed normal, especially for Metal Slug. As with CPS2 games, its hit or miss. Some games work perfectly, others not, or are not legible.

Emulators I'm happy; Perfect: Game Boy Advance, Nintendo

Good / decent Emulators: Neo Geo, CPS2

Emulators in need of improvement: Megadrive, Super Nintendo

Dingoo General Notes:

– 3D Games: I bought the Dingoo for emulation, but upon checking on 3D games since 7 days has good graphics and looks interesting.

– Videos play well, saved a bunch of old drawings Anime to watch when I'm bored. The playlist of videos organized by size (I'm guessing) and not by name, the file named Batman 1 Batman 2 Batman 3 will show and play in about 3 Batman, Batman 1 Batman 2. Any way to fix this?

– Radio works well, even if took some time for me to understand how to define and save the stations. Still did not understand how to turn radio off before entering the main menu. (Guilloche play off completely)

– Recorder is cool. I wonder if I'll ever use.

– Picture Viewer net. Library ebook reader untested. I thought that it takes PDF, TXT only takes. It displays the text against the image background menu, if it is not white, can be hard on the eyes.

– TV untested, others seem to think it's good.

Emulation Other Notes:

– Running some games will crash the Dingoo. Do not panic like I did. Lolz. The screen will be pasted on black and you will not be able to turn off or exit from EMU. All you have to do is to use a pin or tootpick reset button on the left side, next to the DEPA.

– Getting frameskip yourself (instead of auto) makes some games work better.

– It seems to turn the sound takes some games to run smoother.

My general conclusion of the A320 Dingoo, is that I am happy with the system. As it is, it plays music and videos well, and Game Boy Advance, Nintendo and some games CPS2 and Neo Geo.

I hope the devs will come out with better versions of these emulators, and fixed the control issues soon.

Overall score: (not an average)

8.5/10

Is there a GBA emu for the Nintendo DS? Music (Games N ')?

I really want to play my backup games on my Game Boy Advance DS now that I can support them. But is there a GBA emulator range of Nintendo DS? I have a "music" Games N 'card. I know there's one thing that to reproduce things from the Slot 2 design like a slot 1. You can do it the other way around too?

You need a slot2 device to play the GBA games and homebrew, the DS can not run GBA code from slot1.
