A look at the history of Tetris
The game of Tetris took its name from the Greek tetra work ', which means four and tennis work " which is its inventor Favorite sports game. Tetris began as a puzzle game invented by Russian Alexey Pajitnov way back in June 1985. He works in the Center Computing Dorodnicyn at the Academy of Sciences of the USSR.
Although a simple game, Tetris has dealt with many legal battles, mainly due to property and human behavior. Pajitnov, whose original concept was the basis of the Tetris game shared the spotlight with Dmitry Pavlovsky and Vadim Gerasimov. The three whistles computer work for the same project, Elektronika 60.
Since its inception in 1985, Tetris has been a popular video game around Moscow and immediately established a strong following among players from abroad. It has been adapted to a number of versions more than one.
In Budapest (Hungary), the IBM PC version of Tetris is very popular. In Britain and parts of Europe a software company called Andromeda broadcast the game. That independent company was interested in buying the complete exclusive the rights of the game and tried to contact Pajitnov. The original creator of the game sold rights to Spectrum Holobyte and not Andromeda. Andromeda, to be disappointed, tried to license the game play Hungarian programmers instead. This entire controversy and mass production of the original game Tetris. The company has consistently sold the game rights to market while it is not allowed to do first.
The spectrum HoloByte IBM PC version of Tetris game has made its way to U.S. by 1986. This was one of the hottest games at this time and was an immediate success. Players of all levels, all ages, loved the simplicity and strategy behind the game. More people become dependent and addicted to gambling and its popularity spread like wildfire around the world.
The Atari ST and Amiga have different versions of the game Tetris. The difference is mainly on the background graphic of the game. Apple has also started to get interested with the game Tetris and created versions of the game that are compatible with its operating system. The game Tetris comes to the origin of the 5 ¼ floppy disks and 3 ½ inch disks, which are surprisingly not protected by copyright.
Pajitnov finally granted the rights of the game for the Soviet government. Come 1988, the Soviets saw the potential of the game and began marketing through an organization called Elektronorgtechnica or Elorg. That organization has granted rights to the arcade version of Tetris for Atari. Nintendo also bought the handheld and non-Japanese rights to the game.
