Canadian Air Systems Co. is a designer of industrial wet scrubbers for dust / fumes and cleaning the air. Collectors in the form of wet dust or air cleaners are available in many designs using a number of principles and featuring wide variation in efficiency, cost initial operation and maintenance expense, space, amenities and building materials.

Wet collectors dust type are liquid (usually, but not necessarily, water) to capture and separate particulate matter (dust, mist and fumes) from a gas stream. A bed of multiple cons-gas scrubber requires a current separate vessel for each bed section to avoid any delay between the sections. Packing high-density random, in conjunction with pads and mesh eleminators Fog can be configured so as to better prevent the fog delay.

The company also offers crossflow scrubber design incorporating a section radiation to better remove sub-micron and non-polar charging particles of contaminants arriving molecules before entering the packed bed sections. Particles charge are attracted to wet packing media, greatly increasing the absorption and elimination.

Cons-packed scrubbers contain a bed of air downward-flowing liquid, either water or chemical solvent, impinging on a stream flowing up the contaminated air. The pollutants are absorbed by the washing liquid that collects in the sump. This type of wet scrubber is used to ensure absorption of gases, with or without removal of particles using the principle of mass transfer. Packing material, as always, is used to maximize the wetted surface contact between opposing currents.

Particle sizes, which can be controlled by a wet scrubber, range from 0.3 to 50 microns or slightly larger. Wet collectors may be used for the collection of most particulates from the processing circuits of industrial gas when the economy allow the collection of material wet.

Because the flow of liquid and gas cross-flow air scrubber affect not directly on top of each other, this design is less touchy to fouling, thus reducing the maintenance required. Scrubbers require Clossflow also less liquid compared to counter current scrubbers and require less pumping capacity. Therefore, clossflow consumption costs of air purifier energy are lower than for comparable counter current scrubber. Horizontal wet scrubbers are ideal for installations where limited height is the height limited, while cons of air purifiers are being adapted for applications where floor space is limited and the height is not.

Advantage collectors wet on dry type dust collectors include:

* Operating pressure constant;
* None of the sources of dust Secondary;
* Spare parts Little requirements;
* Ability to collect gases and particles;
* Ability to manage the temperature high flow and high humidity gas, and to reduce the risk of fire or explosion;
* Reasonably small requirements space for air purifiers;
* Possibility to continuously collect sticky hygroscopic solids without becoming fouled.

– Liquid High-to-gas ration;
– Contact intimate between liquid and dust particles, which may be accomplished by training a large number of small droplets of liquid or breaking the flow of gas in Many small bubbles are driven by a bath of washing liquid, increase the likelihood that contaminants will be wetted and collected;
– Transition brutal dry wetlands in order to avoid the accumulation of particles where the dry gas enters the collector.

How to prevent mold growth on wet carpet?

I had a big spill on my rug today from my refrigerator 5 gallon water … I did not know that was shed and water on the carpet for many hours. There is an unpleasant smell and was able to clean with towels and a wet-vac, but I do not want any mold growth. Is there anything that can be applied to prevent this? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
