Xbox 360 Custom Firmware

Most people who own the Xbox 360, at one point owned an original Xbox console. The few of us who have not trade probably decided it is better to keep it, as some of the games are not backwards compatible. Now that the majority games have become a backward-compatible, what oh what do we do with the Xbox? In this article I will teach you how to mod your Xbox with emulators

Use the system as your virtual console, do not pay for this feeling of nostalgia we have whenever we see Super Mario 3. If you already have a modded Xbox that's good for you. I have one and I had trouble transferring files to my Xbox, and the emulators themselves. I'll provide both a walk through and a download with all the emulators in them for the Xbox. I'm sure that Roma will not be a problem, but remember only download them if you already have "owner" of the game.

I should mention that I use Avalaunch as I usually firmware and that everything mentioned here were made on it.

The best way to transfer is a router and a program called FlashFXP. Connect the Xbox to your router using an Ethernet cable. Now click the little button that looks like a thunderclap.

Then, select Quick Connect, and you will be prompted to a screen where you enter the URL where the Xbox is connected. Most of the time you can find this option when you access the network section of your custom Xbox, but if you do not, here is something that could help on the way mod your Xbox with emulators successfully.

The address is usually 192.168.2.1?. The? = The port number Your Xbox is connected to your router. For example, if the Xbox is connected to port 2, the address is 192.168.2.1 2 and if it is connected to port 4, the address is 192.168.2.1 4. DO NOT change the port number on the program, leaving to 21 as default. For the type of user name in "Xbox" and the password Type "Xbox" then click Connect.

They appear in different folders. Browse through them and find the folder that contains a folder called "games". It is where you'll put your emulators. (I am aware that there are different custom firmwares for the Xbox is the case that I am using however)

Then simply put the emulators in that folder and restart your Xbox. Most emulators will let you browse your folders, So just create a folder called ROM emulators for your individual and put your roms there. Whenever you install a new ROM, you must restart your Xbox I think. That's it. Hope you enjoy this article on how to mod your Xbox.
