Will Microsoft Xbox 360 fix Error Code 74 for free?
My Xbox recently got error code 74 (bottom right of the light red). I think this means a failure of hard wear.'m Wondering if Microsoft will be set free, because RROD fix free (less than 3 years I believe). Any advice or suggestions are appreciated! Thanks oh yeah and my warranty is made
First thing is please not do the towel trick or overheating of the GPU on purpose. Can easily cause extra damage and even cause the unit sometimes completely irreparable. GPU overheating could get a little more 100 degrees Celsius or less, which can damage a drive that is on and the capacitors even once. the melting point of lead-free solder is 217 degrees Celsius, overheating as it is nowhere near hot enough to melt the solder and only causes more damage to the road. u need to start with the setting the X-clamps and might need to reflow soldering with a heat gun when the unit is off.
