Where download free from? If you are in the beta, you should be able to connect properly. Post here if you http://forums.xbox.com/2608/ShowForum.aspx is having problems. This forum will only be displayed if you sign with your Gamertag has been in beta. If you went to get the leaked copy of the board instruments (and I'm assuming that if you can not access), which says it will not be able to connect to live until it is released to the public. Only people in the version beta can be used at this time and we had to register our gamertags and console IDs when we signed up for it. You should have researched what download before installing your 360.
